application chart (bottom of page) will help you find the
ShaftBrake™ that is right for your application, but first, we
need to mention something of great importance for the
performance of your vessel!
Although
ShaftBrake™ will work incredibly well with virtually any
system, pneumatic or electronic, to realize the maximum
benefit from your ShaftBrake™, we strongly recommend the
installation of a Mathers propulsion control system best
suited to your vessel's application.
The systems
described next, both pneumatic and electronic, ensure more
efficient maneuvering and contribute to reduced clutch and
gear load, reduced transmission system maintenance and
longer engine life!

AD12
Pneumatic Propulsion Control
- The AD12 is designed for high-performance workboats which
have reverse reduction gears and diesel engines in the 500
to 10,00 horsepower range. The AD12 system features include:

AD14
Pneumatic Propulsion Control
- The AD14 is specifically intended for vessels with diesel
engines in the 700 horsepower or less range. It's features
are similar to the AD12 except that it's neutral delay is
fixed, not proportional, and it has no speed boost. AD14 is
an excellent choice for retrofit projects; it can be
installed directly onto any existing pneumatic system.
MasterCommand™
Electronic Propulsion Control
- Designed for 80 to 400 foot vessels with 1,000 to 10,000
horsepower engines, MasterCommand™ leads the way in
state-of-the-art electronic control technology.
Mastercommand™ offers single-lever control of direction,
speed and ShaftBrakes™ along with a host of reliability
features and interface capabilities for such advanced
technology as dynamic positioning via the Global Positioning
Satellite (GPS) system.
